On November 1st, 8 students from F class of the 2019 batch of FKH Unair left Indonesia for Bangkok, Thailand for 1 month to participate in a microbiology research internship hosted by Chulalongkorn University’s faculty of Veterinary Science. The next day, we were welcomed by Prof. Channarong Rodkhum, introduced to some lecturers and scientists, and were given a campus tour. So far, we have been given lab skill training by making agar plates, culturing bacteria, staining, observing slides under microscope, among other things. We believe that this program has been exceptionally rewarding and helpful because it allows us to practice hands-on skills, considering that we did our bacteriology & microbiology course online. We are thankful to Universitas Airlangga and Chulalongkorn University for giving us this wonderful opportunity!
