A Journey into Feline Welfare at the Vet Clinic

I had the amazing chance to work as an intern at CQ Pets Love Sdn Bhd, a veterinary clinic that is all about the welfare of cats, for 10 life-changing days last week. CQ Pets Love Sdn Bhd, which located in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, is renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities and compassionate care.

I became involved in a variety of activities during my internship, such as helping with routine check-ups, learning about diet for felines, watching surgeries, and assisting with medicine administration. Every day was a fresh education in the complexities of the welfare and health of cats. I collaborated with veterinary technicians, kind volunteers, and other interns who were as passionate about animal care as I was with the knowledgeable vets.

This internship was a priceless opportunity to learn about the vital significance of providing cats with specialised care. The clinic’s goal is to make sure every cat receives the finest care possible, as cat health is frequently neglected. This mission is in line with the larger objectives of enhancing animal welfare and encouraging sustainable pet living situations.

During my morning rounds at the clinic, I watched the vets do comprehensive health examinations, interact with pet owners, and administer medication to the ward animals. My practical experiences, which included creating dietary programmes and helping with minor surgeries, gave me a thorough understanding of cat care. In order to promote a collaborative learning atmosphere, evening activities frequently involved going over case studies and talking about treatment plans with the team.

By guaranteeing the health and welfare of pets, the clinic’s activity directly contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, which in turn promotes the mental and emotional wellbeing of pet owners. In addition, the clinic’s emphasis on sustainable methods and preventive treatment is in line with SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. The clinic makes a positive impact on everyone’s health and sustainability by teaching pet owners sustainable habits including waste management and healthy eating.

More than just a learning opportunity, my ten-day internship at the CQ Pets Love Sdn Bhd highlighted the critical role that specialised care plays in improving the health and happiness of our cherished pets. It was a voyage into the heart of feline welfare.
